SYSTEMS
leveling:
defeat a pokemon within five levels of your pokemon (lower or higher), and you gain a level.
defeat a pokemon six of lower levels than your pokemon, and you gain nothing.
defeat a pokemon six or higher levels than your pokemon, and you gain two levels.
rare candy will be available in the shop, but will be fairly pricey.
breeder classes will be able to open up daycares to level up other people's pokemon for a price, but not their own.
trainer classes will be able to super train their pokemon for easy leveling. (super training, on site, will just be a costlier but much quicker version of daycare)
classes:
trainer: the trainer class is the most basic of basic classes. this is the most common type of class in hoenn. they are what you would typically expect, a child or adult whom has set off on their pokemon adventure. they are the only class who can super train, the only class that can apply for gym leader positions, and open up dojos where they can offer their super training services to other people.
they obtain control over their pokemon by earning badges.
breeder: the breeder class is for people who are more about raising pokemon than battling them. they are the only class that can breed pokemon, they are the only class that can open up a daycare, they are the only class that can open up a breeding farm, and.........
they obtain control over their pokemon by hatching eggs.
coordinator: the coordinator class is for people who would rather dress up and show off their pokemon than battle them. they are the only class that can participate in contests, they are the only class who can teach TMs, and they are the only class that can sell fashion items.
they obtain control over their pokemon by winning contest ribbons.
team magma/aqua: although they are separate and rival classes, team magma and aqua function the same systematically. they are for more fanatic or villainous characters, as both teams perform common criminal acts here to fund their greater plans. they are the only classes that can steal pokemon and items, participate in magma/aqua related missions, sell items and pokemon on the black market, however, they have limited choices of starters.
they obtain control over their pokemon by buying badges from the black market or by taking the gym challenge.
badges will be put up in the black market occasionally by staff.
other classes can affiliate with team magma or aqua and act as if they are part of the team for mission and plot purposes, but without the benefits of the actual class.
collector: collectors are people who would rather collect pokemon than do anything else with them. they are the only class that can open up galleries, places where pokemon can be shown and bought, and are the only class that function drastically differently from the others. collectors earn money by collecting pokemon based on a system (roughly) listed below:
collect 5 different pokemon: +100 dollars for every 5 different
collect 10 of the same type: +100 dollars for every 10 of the same type
collect 30 of the same type: +500 dollars
collect all (minus legendary) in a type: +5,000 dollars
