Her affinity for the water and for freedom drew her to Team Aqua, where she could legally become a pirate, since no one told them it wasn't the 18th century anymore. Gen's proficiencies lie in battling and lying if you know what I mean. Like not just the verbal stuff, the other stuff. Right.
Gen's free spirit is somewhat of an enigma. With no 'dark past' to fuel her potentially dangerous future, she has chosen the path of the anarchist, looking to dismantle the current world in favour of a new one with killer waves. The idea that Team Aqua might drown out their notoriously nerdy foes, Team Magma, pleases her more than it should. Taking on a primary combat goal, she is the first one to battle in most occasions, preferring physical gruntwork to strategic endeavours.
